Jason
Jason is a skilled luthier with a passion for crafting and restoring string instruments. His journey began at JR Judd Violins, where he was introduced to the skills of instrument repair. He then joined Davidson Violins, furthering his expertise in the field.
Eager to deepen his craft, Jason studies violin making under Joseph Thrift, where he has created three exquisite instruments. As a proud member of the Violin Society of America (VSA), he actively engages with the community and has been invited to attend the prestigious Oberlin Restoration Workshop, showcasing his commitment to excellence in luthiery.
In addition to his work, Jason is an accomplished violinist, performing with the Orchestra of the Carolinas. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is a devoted father to his son, Andrew, and his new daughter, Eloise nurturing a love for music and creativity in their family.
With a blend of craftsmanship, musicianship, and dedication to family, Jason continues to make meaningful contributions to the world of music.
Sarah
Sarah is a dedicated violinist and music educator with a passion for fostering a love of music in others. Raised in the Suzuki method, she began playing the violin at the age of five. As the majority owner of Bamford Fine Violins, she expertly manages the business while sharing her knowledge through private lessons.
In addition to teaching, Sarah serves as the Concertmistress for the Orchestra of the Carolinas, and has previously been the Concertmistress for the Lake Norman Orchestra. Her leadership in these ensembles showcases her commitment to both performance and community engagement.
Previously, she gained valuable experience as a business manager and customer service representative at Davidson Violins, where she developed her understanding of the industry. Prior to that, she served as an elementary music teacher where she inspired young minds with the joy of music. As an active member of the Violin Society of America (VSA), she regularly attends conferences to stay connected with the broader string instrument making community and to enhance her expertise.
Outside of music, Sarah is a proud mother to her son, Andrew, and her new daughter, Eloise, sharing the joy of music and creativity with them. With a commitment to excellence in both performance and education, Sarah continues to contribute to the world of music, helping others discover their own musical journeys
