Clara Hare-Grogg
Violin
Bio
Hi! My name is Clara Hare-Grogg (she/her). I started playing violin at age 6 and I studied Suzuki Books 1 through 8 before moving on to a non-Suzuki studio. I won the Richard R. Deas Concerto Competition and performed as a featured soloist with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra in 2014. I was then hired by the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra as a violinist for the 2014-2015 season. I attended Davidson College (’19) on a music scholarship for violin performance. I majored in music and served as Principal 2nd Violin and later Concertmaster of the Davidson College Symphony Orchestra. I have performed violin professionally for religious services and weddings since I was in high school. Fun fact: I was an All-State French horn player in high school!
