This violin, handcrafted by Mike Dunham of Brevard, North Carolina, has a unique history and offers exceptional sound. It was Mike’s first violin, created during his studies at the renowned Violin Making School of America, and has since been used as a loaner instrument at the Brevard Music Center, providing local students with a reliable option while their own violins were being repaired.

A Journey of Craftsmanship: Before becoming a luthier, Mike was a chemical engineer specializing in developing medical devices like cardiovascular implants. His technical background cultivated a deep attention to detail, which he later applied to instrument making. Starting with dulcimers and harps, Mike always dreamed of making violins. His training at the Violin Making School of America allowed him to realize that dream, combining his engineering precision with the artistry of luthiery.
